before, and I’ll say it again - Second Life is going to make a profound impact on college learning in the future. Check this out:
Last quarter, Matthew Anthony, a Rochester Institute of Technology senior, came across the ultimate class based on his favorite pastime, Second Life, a virtual world launched in 2003 by Linden Research Inc. that’s part game, part marketplace and part social network.
“I was quite intrigued,” said the 21-year-old management information systems major.
RIT says its E. Philip Saunders College of Business has developed the first university-level marketing and advertising course for the virtual marketplace.
According to RIT professor Neil Hair, an increased number of people are ditching their real-world jobs for online positions within Second Life ….MORE….
Personally, I can’t wait to see what it will be like to earn an entire college degree without having to interact with the rest of humanity.
